Blending Heritage with Neo Seventies Flair

Two Parisian architect-designers have reimagined a 19th-century bourgeois residence in western Paris, blending its historic charm with a striking contemporary vision. This bold renovation reflects a seamless integration of power, creativity, and modern aesthetics, breathing new life into the space. The architects skillfully preserve the home's essence while introducing innovative design choices.

Originally built in the late 19th century and later transformed in 1947, the house features Second Empire influences, with French stone construction and a Mansard roof. Spanning three levels, the building exudes historical elegance while embracing modern updates. The home's star-shaped layout and central circulation spaces provided the perfect canvas for the designers to express their talent and create a dynamic flow throughout the residence.

The renovation's attention to detail is evident in each bathroom, where materials like travertine, terrazzo, and yellow onyx granito add texture and character. While embracing a contemporary aesthetic, the renovation carefully preserved key architectural elements, such as marble fireplaces, woodwork, and moldings. Bespoke furniture, custom cabinetry in cherrywood and elm burl, and a curated selection of art and vintage objects enrich the home’s atmosphere, making it a harmonious blend of calm refinement and bold design.
